Nestled in the stunning natural landscape of the Occitane region, the town of Saint-Hippolyte-du-Fort provides an idyllic setting for the filmmaking retreat. This historically silk-producing town encapsulates natural beauty with rich, cultural authenticity offering a captivating backdrop for creative exploration.
The retreat is centered in a stunning, four-storey house, once the silk factory proprietor’s home, previously a boutique hotel, now transformed into a generous, homely space with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. In and around the house are spacious, communal areas - a living room / dining area, pool, elevated terrace, a smaller terrace; a vast upstairs room under the eves - all perfect spaces for spontaneous gatherings, group tutorials, or personal reflection.
The retreat not only focuses on the technical aspects of filmmaking but also emphasises the importance of drawing inspiration from the location at large.
