Itinerary

We are offering TWO filmmaking retreat courses during September 2024 - each comprising 6x days, including arrival and departure days and totalling 7 x nights.

Retreat One

Saturday 7th September - Saturday 14th September

Retreat Two

Saturday 21st Sept - Saturday 28th September

We are keen to build a course of varied, diverse, committed film-interested, film-loving individuals whereby all can be mutually benefitted by the course offering. 

 

We would like to meet you on zoom, prior to committing to the course. We will arrange a zoom call with you having received your show of interest.

The payment system asks for payment in full to secure your place. If you would prefer to pay a non-refundable 20% deposit at the time of booking, please let us know.

As soon as you have been accepted on the course, we will send through payment & booking details. This will be followed by confirmation and further information.

Travel & Transfers

Nearest Airports to St Hippolyte are Montpellier or Nimes. Both are approximately one hour’s drive.

Note: St Hippolyte du fort is a small town and everywhere is easily walkable.

From London, fly Gatwick (eg EasyJet) to Montpellier (between £100- £200) -   or
From London, fly Stansted (Ryanair) to Nimes  or 
From Paris, fly Charles de Gaulle (eg Air France) to Montpellier.  or    
By train, travel from London, St Pancras to Lille, then from Lille to Nïmes

 

You can travel by bus from Nimes to St Hippolyte du Fort, 2 euros, 50 minutes. The bus station at Nimes is beside the train station. 
A taxi/car transfer can be arranged from or to either airport. 50 euros. This can be booked and all details supplied via the WhatsApp group which will be available to anyone who has booked the course.

 


What to Bring


Summer clothes, informal and easy to work in. Sleeves for the eves.
Laptop: If you want to write scripts, store notes & imagery and edit in the most basic way, you will need a laptop. Ideally have screenwriting software loaded. Eg Celtx or Final Draft  (the classic of the film industry) which offers a generous 30 day free trial offer.

A travel sized, external hard-drive with plenty of room so you can store and load what you shoot with ease

  • European plug adaptors

  • A supply of ear plugs - you never know

  • A notebook

  • An excited work ethic

  • A spirit of creative adventure and sense of humour
